Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 25, 2026

1. Overview

Chargeback Defender ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Chargeback Defender Chrome extension and website at chargeback-defenders.com. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: Your email address, collected when you create an account via magic-link sign-in.
  • Chargeback data: Order IDs, dispute amounts, reason codes, deadlines, and appeal drafts you create or that are detected from TikTok Shop Seller Center while using the extension.
  • Evidence files: Screenshots, photos, and documents you voluntarily upload as evidence for your appeals.
  • Payment information: We do not store your payment card details. Payments are processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. We receive only your subscription status (paid or unpaid).
  • Usage data: Basic logs (such as error reports) that help us maintain and improve the service. We do not use analytics tracking on this website.

3. How we use your information

  • To operate and deliver the Chargeback Defender service to you.
  • To send deadline reminder emails when a chargeback appeal window is approaching.
  • To process your subscription payment via ExtensionPay and Stripe.
  • To diagnose bugs and improve the reliability of the extension.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or chargeback data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data storage and security

All account and chargeback data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database with row-level security (RLS) enforced. This means only your authenticated account can read or modify your own data — no other user, and no Chargeback Defender employee, can access your chargeback records through the application layer.

Evidence files are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket. Files are accessible only via short-lived signed URLs generated for your authenticated session.

While we take commercially reasonable precautions to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique email address for your account.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Chargeback Defender:

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your account and associated data remain accessible until you request deletion. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at support@chargeback-defenders.com.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Cancel your subscription at any time from within the extension.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@chargeback-defenders.com.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
